Hello everyone, I thought I would start my blogging journey with a little bit about myself, my business and the faces behind it all. It might be a long one so grab yourself a cuppa and your pet and snuggle up while you read.
I'm Andrea the owner of Corgi Queen & Co. I have been making bandanas since May 2020. Since we were in lockdown and no where to go, I decided to get my sewing machine from the attic, dust off the cobwebs and sit down to do some sewing (which I hadn't done in 7 years.) Hmm what to make? I looked at little Jess (the big boss of the business) and thought I know I'll make a bandana. So I managed to get some fabric and off I went on the sewing machine.

Since then I've made hundreds of bandanas and the business just grew from there. What started off as something to keep me sane has now turned into a beautiful business that I'm very proud of. I've had a lot of highs and lows over the past 5 years but my drive now is to turn this into a successful business where this can be my sole income. My dream is to one day open up a local pet shop in the little village I now call home. So with your help my dream one day will come true.
I'm very passionate about animals, always have been. Even when my dogs drive me mad some days, but hey who can relate? Nothing beats when you come home and that tail is wagging, the meowing or squeaks of just pure happiness that their whole world has just come home to them is one of the purest feelings a pet owner will feel. So with my passion and continuous learning, I want to provided the best for your pets and for you too. I want you to feel comfortable buying from a small business who puts your pets needs first.
Corgi Queen & Co Pets
Enough about me for now, I know you really want to know about the pets of the business so here goes...
The CEO, the face of the business, the sassy queen that is Jess. This royal floof is a cardigan corgi who loves the sound of her own voice. Her world revolves around naps and snacks. She is a bit of a lazy CEO, only participates not when, but if necessary. She does quality control and will model from time to time but there has to be something tasty in it for her. As much as we love Jess, she doesn't really love the attention from strangers so you'll never see her at any markets as her safe space is home.
The little devil himself, the dog who thinks he is bigger than he actually is but who is an absolute darling is Jake. A 5kg sook that will never leave you alone is a miniature dachshund. If there is a blanket he is under it, always looking for a time to nap. He's as fast as Lightning McQueen on a walk, honestly think he was a sleigh dog in his past life, but really the little legs is just trying to keep up with his pack. You'll occasionally see Jake from time to time at markets depending on what ones he's welcome at and what mood he's in.

The other behind the scene dogs are Kona the border collie, my partners dog. You'll probably guess but if there is a ball she is on it. She much prefers to be out in the open with her ball than be at home working for the business. Evie and Buddy are my mums dogs, we call them the cousins. Absolute crack pots them two. You'll see them from time to time as models for our socials but not very often. (Only because I'm terrible at remembering to take products with me and get pictures)
We also have some new additions to the Corgi Queen & Co pack, the pigs. I never thought I would be an owner of guinea pigs but here we are owner of 5. I call them The Pig-stones, we have Fred, Barney, Wilma, Betty and Bam Bam. I know I still need to add Pebbles but all in good time. They are currently house pigs but my plan next year is to build them a huge shed in the garden where they will have lots of space and can go out on the grass for some foraging fun and exercise.

My little helpers
I also want to take the time to thank my little helpers. My mum and sister have taken on the role of making the bow ties for the business. So I am very grateful for them for helping me out. They also are with me at markets or sometimes its just them two or even just my mum and again its very appreciated the help and time they provide for my little business. You'll occasionally see my partner Aiden, helping at the markets but only the dog ones as he is only ever there to get cuddles from the dogs.
We at Corgi Queen & Co have shared a little glimpse of who we are, and we invite you to join us on our journey as we continue to grow.
Lots of love
